Review of Enough Said (2013) by Zachary L — 04 Jan 2014
Pitch perfect acting. James Gandolfini and Julia Louis-Dreyfus shine in their performances. Accurate description of finding love after marriage, divorce and kids, the trials of single parenting and the need to balance all of the above.
But its strength was also a glaring weakness. It was a realist portrayal, but a real portrayal of fairly boring people leading fairly boring lives. Despite some funny moments, as far as melodrama goes, it just isn't memorable.
The real heart wrenching comes from those terribly tragic words which roll up at the ending credits: for James.
