The plot is pure rom-com cliche, but at least an unabashed rom-com would have a few laughs along the way. Julia Louis-Dreyfuss acts like she's in a 3rd rate sitcom and Catherine Keener adds a few ums and ahs to each sentence to show shes a great poet.
The 2 stars are for James Gandolfini who gives an underwritten character a likeable dignity. He at least deserved better than this.
