Review of Enough Said (2013) by John F — 01 Feb 2014
Ok, this is a pretty cute movie. The chemistry between Dreyfus and Gandolfini is infectious. The relationships between the daughters is paramount to what happens with divorced couples in this day and age.
There really isn't much that happens in this movie, except for real people going about their lives. Maybe it has something to do with the film being Gandolfini's swan song, but this flick really pulls at your heart strings.
now, I know they needed to have a story here, but the pathetic part of the toe is what Dreyfus character DOESN'T Do. Like so many people in the day and age, gossip is like currency. They just cannot get enough.
Everyone has some emotional damage and we all have some excess baggage. But the troubling thing about this story is watching this pathetic woman absorb all this information about the loving new man in her life from his wretched and sickening ex-wife.
While, at the second she realizes the position she is in, she doesn't end one relationship for the other, instead she continues to feed on the bile and anger that is presented to her. Pathetic was the only word that came to mind.
Like so many people in relationships who "...only opened his computer and found....", they went snooping! Yes, "Enough Said" is a movie worth seeing. If not for just the sheer entertainment value.
But be ready, there is a dark and disturbing side as well.
