Review of Enough Said (2013) by Derek M — 12 Feb 2014
I thought this was Gandolfini's last movie, but it wasn't. That said, the relationship between the characters was stellar.
I don't understand the Toni Collette inclusion and you'll love who the maid is, but that aside, the twist is comical and comes in at just the right time, you may catch it a little quicker than I did.
There is a scene with Julia and James in his kitchen (I don't want to give away the plot) but it comes in where Julia is about to share a cinnamon roll with James' daughter, that shows you that his character has class, that as well as another when they leave a dinner party at Toni Collette's house.
Movies like this have a cookie cutter plot and this is kind of predictable, but this time the female is the "slime" and the male is the "classy" one, which was a nice change without the change to the usual romance movie plot.
If you like chick flicks this is great. It won't make you cry but it will make you think! Little sex, but no shown skin- just implied- adult situations and conversations with adult themes make this a skip for family night, but great for date night or a watch alone when home sick from work or on a rainy day!
