Review of Enough Said (2013) by François M — 16 Jul 2014
Enough Said written and directed by Nicole Holofcener I totally felt was going to be a step down in quality when I saw the trailer but after seeing the movie I have to say this movie really got to me. It stars Julia Louis Dreyfus as Eva she works as a masseuse and her daughter is about to be leaving home for her college career and Eva is dreading this so one night she goes to a house party with a few friends and this is where she meets two people that will become very important as the movie goes along they are Marianne played by Catherine Keener and Albert played by James Gandolfini in one of his final performances plays the man who starts to like Eva but Eva knows a crucial piece of information of his past marriage that will kind of build up the conflict for the rest of the movie.
This movie is wonderful. It's funny, romantic and insightful into what parents go through when their children are going to leave and start their own lives and there's a really emotional scene between Eva and her daughter that really got to me.
I really thought I would hate this but now I really love this movie.
