Review of Enemy of the State (1998) by Alec B — 30 Aug 2010
I've never thought much of Tony Scott as a director (his two most popular films 'Top Gun' and 'Man on Fire' I think are terribly overrated) but this one is passable as a silly chase thriller.
It aspires to be some kind of social commentary or a cautionary tale about the dangerous of the informantion age but I think in that regard it fails. Lets be honest, if the NSA was this good at tracking people we would have no reason to fear terrorists.
