A great sci-fi movie, coming from a guy not really into sci-fi. It is still very relevant in today's world (I think it could have been an allegory for the cold war). I don't agree that the second half wasn't good, I think the movie as a whole was very powerful and in a sense is universal: it has something everyone can enjoy.
