Review of Enemy Mine (1985) by Lora N — 29 Aug 2010
This was one of my favorite movies as a kid! It had everything a little girl could want: aliens, action, space ships, a baby AND intense emotion. Dennis Quaid and Louis Gossett Jr were an amazing pair. It's frustrating that their relationship ends so early in the movie.
I admit that parts of this film are pretty corny and sentimental. Though the message was fairly simple and transparent, the strong performances added a level of complexity that stands the test of time.
I was also impressed that Carolyn McCormick looks EXACTLY the same in this movie as she does on Law & Order.
