Review of Enemy at the Gates (2001) by Davy V — 20 Feb 2009
A very finely tuned film. Jude Law not my favorite actor but is worth his mettle in this WWII thriller. Ed Harris is perfect as a Nazi Sharpshooter and Fiennes and Weisz add to the cast nicely. However the show is stolen by two small enough roles, Bob Hoskins and Ron Perlman, really shine through the whole film and though they may only be in it for 20 minuted each, their additions, performances and dialogue are the gems that make this treasure chest a real nice find.
