Review of Enemy at the Gates (2001) by Keegan C — 20 Oct 2009
Weird Casting.
Two Brits for Russians.
All American for a German.
Not a lot of character development.
Ed Harris comes out as a cardboard cut out bad guy.
The scenes are muddled and ill-concieved. Cinematography could've been better.
The movie in general came off as a wanna be Saving Private Ryan, but none of the violence that was shown in the film such as the main roles friends dying don't come off nearly as meaningful as in the Spielberg film.
