Review of Enemy at the Gates (2001) by Brian K — 18 Jul 2012
12/27/01 - Enemy at the Gates is based on true story about a sniper duel involving Russia's most famous sniper, Vasily Zaitsev, during the Battle of Stalingrad. Apparently this set up wasn't interesting enough, the film makers decided to embellish Zaitsev's story with a made up love triangle (ugh).
The sniper scenes in the movie were very cool, but the movie did drag at times. Also, it was kind of annoying and distracting to hear "Russians" with English accents.
