Review of Enduring Love (2004) by Karen S — 08 Nov 2007

Absolutely loved the book, and the film works so well. Daniel Craig is tremendous as Joe, and Rhys Ifans was wondefully creepy as Jed. Plus I adore Samantha Morton. Cast aside, the direction is spot on, the only fault I can find is the speed of build up, at points it can snag and at others it could feel like you were being drop-kicked forward into the plot, that feeling probably stems from the wonderfully subtle build up in the book.

Overall, it has quietly become one of my all time favourites.
