This movie had a few differences from the book. It didn't follow some characters as much as the book. But just like the LOTR's and Narnia movies, its part of the process. Making a long book to one movie is a difficult challenge.
The movie without the book is a very good movie that has one wondering what's going to happen next. Only to have one of the most original twists of all time.
