As a long time fan of good fiction I have come to the conclusion that what I enjoy about it is that it requires the reader (watcher) to become an active actor. Good writing deals with the innermost problematic of human choices: human volition and his freedom to use it upon the code of values he/she chooses freely.

In fiction one easily becomes a participant of the decisions and it requires good writing for it to describe the ways in which humans behave-think-reason in the most 'real and humane- of ways. Ender's Game is one of those books and the movie achieved showing how most of human decisions are made in absence of knowledge (always) and as such it requires us to chose freely upon the different roads we find in our way.

A good human chooses always realizing that the present is the only thing that exists and, as such, the end never justifies the means. It requires you to watch the end of the movie and/or to read until the end of the saga to realize this in its complexity.

I strongly recommend the books and the movie as well.
