When the movie first came out I heard that it was supposed to be very realistic and the details in the movie were actually researched in order to reflect the actual officer's.

Everyday life. In other words, I went to see the movie having pretty high expectations for actors as well as over all work of director. Usually movies don't really come close to the expectations (because trailers make movies seem so amazing, while in reality it may not even be worth watching), but "The End of Watch" exceeded my expectations. At first it was a little hard to get used to the portable camera and crooked movie shots, but at the same time, it made it seem more realistic that if the movie shots would have been positioned perfectly. Jake Gyllenhall and Michael Pena did a great job by embodying their roles as well as making the audience feel that they were actual cops. Film "The End of Watch" shows what a real friendship is, it also shows the dedication, and struggles that police officers face from all over the world. I would rate this movie 5 stars.
