Review of End of Watch (2012) by Shaun L — 16 Sep 2013
The way it's filmed is really annoying...and inconsistent, but I think this allows you to create a closer connection to the characters as sometimes they speak directly to you/the camera and sometimes what you see seems to be content too personal and awkward to be put in a normal film. Ultimately, you are put in a situation where you feel for these guys and feel your emotions up until the end.
Still not sure if making us sad and then getting us to laugh soon after was the best choice of scene placement.
