Gritty, realistic cop drama set in LA. Two cops who are also best friends traverse the dangerous streets of South Central. This film has a real honesty about it with fine performances from the two leads.
Unfortunately it is let down by simplistic and directionless directing. The use of hand held is definitely a poor distraction.
