Review of End of Watch (2012) by Trevor T — 12 May 2014
I couldn't stand the villains! I hated every loathsome stereotypical, over the top, hyper, and aggravating moment with them. These villains soured the movie so much for me I could barely concentrate on Gyllenhaal and Pena's excellent screen chemistry and acting.
Instead I focused on the motor mouth Mexican gang bangers spewing obscenities left and right. Rather than feeling like ruthless Mexican gangsters they felt like caricatures so ridiculous that they lose authenticity and menace as a result.
