Review of End of Watch (2012) by Shane H — 09 Nov 2014
There are only 3 handheld footage movies I like (Chronicle, and The Blair Witch Project). End of Watch, being the 3rd. So, lets jump into a quick 2 cent ride of my thoughts on this movie!
From the very beginning, I was on the edge of my weird fold-up gamer chair thing I've had for many, many moons (very comfortable). The range of emotion this movie caused me to feel, went from the lowest lows to the highest highs, and everything in between. A nearly perfect blend of comedy/drama/suspense/thriller/action. The cruiser scenes brought back memories of driving around with friends in high school; bantering back and forth about life, laughing non-stop like a cult of cackling coons. Every action scene had my heart pounding louder then any movie I've seen before. It was intense. One last note, the finale had me choking back tears as best I could. (No, I did NOT cry, but the eyes were watery, and it took awhile to dislodge Kermit from the back of my throat).
Anywhoozles, I just found a new favorite movie. Also, gained even more mad respect for Jake Gylidhenjalllas acting abilities. Well done mate! (Michael Pinata, I salute you as well).
