Review of End of Watch (2012) by Darian J — 30 May 2014
Another well done realistic-vibe film, this one being delivered from police perspective (as much as I can't stand cops, I admit I was on their side here) Gyllenhaal and Pena are both superb and worked excellently together in establishing a real partners-in-crime rapport (pun intended).
Great suspense, and even the lesser roles played by those of the gangsters delivered a realistic bone-chilling demeanor with their hardcore ethics and dark nature. There was a moment that caught me by surprise and right towards the end the movie went from a solid 8.
5 to a 10/10 for me.
