â??Out of America's sewers and drains comes punk rockâ?? or so a magazine trumpeted back in the 1970s. Excellent documentary that doesn't shy away from controversy and contradictions, like Johnny saying Tommy wasn't that important to the band's sound and then later on saying that Tommy was important for the band's sound.
That fact alone captures the contradictions that fueled one of the weirdest bands in history.
