Review of End of Days (1999) by Keegan C — 03 Jul 2011
The movie had a lot of potential.
Gabriel Bryne is fun to watch in a tongue-in-cheek way not much besides that.
The dark scenery in some scenes is kind of fun.
But Schwarzenegger went back to relying on yelling, when at first he was.
Kind of restrained, a little wooden but adequate.
The one liners like the "choir boy" one isn't really his fault considering that he didn't write the script, i'm kind of curious if Mr. Hyams had a tongue-in-cheek involvement in some of the one liners.
It is definitely not the worst film I have seen (i.e. Surviving Christmas-ugh), but it jumps to some unbelievable plot twists.
There is also a priest who does some scene chewing as well(yippee).
But overall I recommend it because it is one bizarre, funny, and surprisingly entertaining film.
