Review of End of Days (1999) by Jay B — 30 Jul 2014
It had to be done eventually - the ultimate action film of Arnold Schwarzenegger versus the Devil. When he's beaten up practically everyone else, who is left. You'd therefore think that the film would be mindless violence with very little plot.
However, the film is excellently done - combining atmosphere with action and a plot that makes some sense - taking advantage of millennium-phobia. Although it is not exactly effective as a horror, it does well as a religious action film which puts Angels & Demons to shame.
