Review of Encounters at the End of the World (2007) by Erik C — 19 Nov 2008
Herzog sets out to bat down the cutsey romantic image of Antarctica, and it works. God, does it work. In the land of fluffy penguins and majestic icebergs, Herzog paints a picture that is at once both human and alien, funny and frightening.
It also gives a new meaning to March of the Penguins. . . the insane suicide march.
