Review of Encino Man (1992) by Michael S — 16 Feb 2009

Has the spirit of the Teen/Family comedies that came out in the late 80's and early 90's. Sean Astin's performance is not bad, though there isn't really all that much to make you CARE about his particular character, which is a shame after his wonderful performance in "The Goonies". Brendan Fraser delivers a delightful, interesting character, stealing the movie. And then there... Pauly Shore, who was intended to be the big draw for the movie at that time... the less said or thought about him, the better.

Despite some weak character development, and one woefully annoying acter (whose primary character modus operandi was wearing thin by this time), this movie does have some enjoyable moments, and some decent laughs.
