Review of Enchanted (2007) by Rebecca M — 04 Apr 2012
In the first 30 minutes of this movie I really thought I was going to die of a sugar overdose. It was so over the top and just sappy to the the point of annoyance, but then we got to the song "That's how you know" and that just won me over completely.
It really made the first half hour worth it and just added reason for it as well. Amy Adams was amazing as Giseele and Patrick Dempsey matched her perfectly. I wish Idina had gotten to sing, but you can't have it all.
The waltz towards the end to the song "So Close" was absolutely beautiful. I was about to cry. That part won over the previous part and of course there was a happy ending. Real shocker, huh? It was all worth it.
Definitely go see it. Disney did really well with this one!
