Review of Enchanted (2007) by Nate G — 12 Apr 2012
I'm not even totally sure why I review films like this. I suppose I was thinking this one might vary slightly from other fairly-tale-esc movies, because of the dual-dimensional twist. I was wrong. Basically this is any movie with a fairy-tale ending, plus a dash of masked adult humor, a bit of cliche love advise, and some Who Framed Roger Rabbit, without the fun.
The female lead's character is understandably too good to be true, which was the point, but I'm not sure why her wall-street prince charming was supposed to be believable as equally perfect. The script was completely predictable and nonsensical, yet not cute enough for my girlfriend to enjoy much.
I guess maybe this one is strictly for the kids. It is wholesome if nothing else.
