Review of Enchanted (2007) by Matthew C — 14 Jul 2012
Now, obviously, Enchanted is not for cynics and people who are allergic to pink and fluff. However, I must reluctantly admit that it appears to be a genuine effort from the part of Disney to engage in irreverence and self-deprecation by offering a post-modern take on fairy tales.
It's cheesy and wonderful, and Amy Adams is just simply irresistible -- or irritating, depending on your viewpoint -- as the oblivious fairy tale character who crash lands in a place where there are no "happily forever after": New York.
