Review of Enchanted (2007) by Ami H — 07 Apr 2014
This movie is just so much fun. It's a satire while still being a princess fairytale- literally contrasting the Disney genre with real life and it's very well done. While sweet and airy as cotton candy it still touches on more serious life subjects.
Amy Adams was great as the princess caught in urban real life- chasing the sparkly pink castle billboard, cutting a dress out of curtains, and vermin that help clean house. I've very much liked the transition Disney has been making while moving away from the old Cindarella "I've met you only once now we've got true love's kiss" ideals.
