Review of Employee of the Month (2006) by Charie O — 07 Jul 2009
It may have skimmed average at best. Reflecting on it as a whole, I don't know why I wasn't more pissed off at it. I kind of just shrugged after it was over. Although I think it had an good cast (at least a group with alot of potential) and a cool setting (nice wearhouse store atmosphere with plenty of possibilities), it failed for the most part at the jokes and storyline.
I guess it was fine to sit through, some occasional laughs, but I think the film as a whole had alot more potential. The plot sucked big time, though. I just can't get past the part that the basic premise was Dane Cook hearing that Jessica Simpson screws employees of the month so he tries to achieve that honor.
It is later revealed to us however BUM BUM BUM that Jessica Simpson DID screw the employee of the month at her last store but that the employee of the month was actually her boyfriend......so, I guess that was probably why they fornicated.
The whole movie was a bad rumor and misunderstanding.....what?!?
