Review of Empire Records (1995) by Brian R — 07 May 2010
Somewhere in the 90's between Dazed and Confused, Clerks, and High Fidelity lies Empire Records, and that's not a terrible place to be. It's sincere charm tries so hard to get you to like it, and you can't help but like it, even if it can't quite run with the big dogs.
Rory Cochrane, of course, is the true star and heart.
