Highly underrated!!

Young Christian Bale's performance is probably the best ever by a child, it was utterly flawless..

Some parts might feel dragged out, but over all the movie isn't too long since it has the most amazing cinematography you just can't get enough of..

The thing about this movie is that it displays war from the perspective of a twelve year old in a prison camp in the most compelling way.. It doesn't deal with the political or military aspects of the situation as much as it concentrates on the humane side of it..

Seriously, this is one of Spielberg's best efforts at least in my opinion and I can't figure out why it so often gets overlooked and criticized..
