Review of Empire of the Sun (1987) by Lasse C — 16 Mar 2009
Christian Bale is fantastic in this movie which was one of the first movies that proved Spielberg's versatility. The story is a little long but to Bale's great credit he actually manages to remain tense and sharp all the way through.
The film itself is also rather important as it shows a lesser known side to the war.
