A young Christian Bale plays the role of a boy lost, parentless in Shanghai. Having to survive, this is a coming of age story.
Christian Bale is so cute as a kid! His acting was good, but there were moments of inadequecy, parts that looked like acting. John Malkovich is so distinct but seems to pull off so many roles! The acting was fairly strong.
There was losts of weird in this film like the portrayal of the Chinese.
