Review of Empire of the Sun (1987) by Rebecca B — 01 Dec 2010
A reletively ineffectual small tale/true story of epic grandure set in wwII china.
This film was pieced together that (what is it) step higher, so much better for so little a story but so very large a point to make.
The select few driven by passion accomplishing much for others by putting their annoying self first. You can't help someone else if you can't first help yourself. Survival.
The love affair for aeroplanes a boy has prooves a driving force for inspiration from others when sent to a convict of war internment facility in China where he was living at a young age with his parents in well off surrounds, while his father worked at the then shanghi in capital industry.
Marvolously written it meandered through, educationally until movement cannot be resisted and a general rating prevails.
An epic must see viewpoint of humanity, for a period piece.
