Review of Empire of the Sun (1987) by Tarun R — 24 Jan 2009
Perhaps my expectations were simply too high. While it was intriguing, and Christian Bale was excellent, I felt the movie was lacking something. Heart, perhaps. It just was not very stirring, and it dragged far too much; it needed some major editing.
I'm glad I saw it, but doubt I'll ever see it again.
