Review of Emelie (2016) by Brett B — 19 Mar 2016
A home invasion thriller that doesn't waste a single second of its disturbing nature.
3 kids get a new babysitter that doesn't appear what she seems to be.
Her bizarre behavior starts to raise some red flags particularly with the oldest brother.
From playing with the pet python to watching a sex tape things quickly spiral out of control once Anna's true intentions are revealed.
The film moves by very fast which is impressive because it reaches so many levels of uncomfortability.
It's also really violent which I'm betting doesn't bode well for these kids.
The music is also so damn creepy making it feel like an ol' fashioned 80's horror extravaganza.
Cool, low-budget chills.
