In Elysium you will be told a moral story about how bad rich capitalists have everything in their utopic space colony and how they dislike sharing. You would be wise to ignore this since it doesn't make much sense and in the end you'll likely feel like your intelligence has been insulted.

Instead just realize the truth. This is an action movie about mechanically enhanced exoskeleton humans fighting it out while firing explosive rounds at each other with futuristically modified ak-47s. And that is pretty neat!
