Elvis & Nixon is a relatively entertaining film with two strong leading performances. Michael Shannon and Kevin Spacey shine as Elvis and Nixon, respectively. They both deliver great performances that make this movie.
If it wasn't for them, I wouldn't have liked this movie. The film doesn't have the best plot. Not a lot happens in its short 86 minute runtime. The plot is dragged out in a couple of scenes.
The humor is very peculiar. It takes a while to get used to. The film overall isn't laugh out loud funny, but there are many scenes that are entertaining. The best scenes are when Spacey and Shannon are together.
Unfortunately, that is only the last act of the film. Overall, this is a great showcase for two amazing actors. Unfortunately, this is all the movie has to offer. This is a good movie, but not a great one.
