Review of Elvira: Mistress of the Dark (1988) by Jason H — 23 Jul 2011
I had braced myself for the worst before viewing this film, but found myself pleasantly surprised. A blend of camp and b-movie gags, it works amazingly well. Elvira's character is wisely kept to dialogue that sticks to her television persona's trademark: snappy one-liners.
A cast of capable and familiar character actors rounds out the proceedings.
