Review of Elle (2016) by Marcel A — 21 Sep 2016
Like most selections from Paul Verhoeven's provocative oeuvre, his latest film is not for the faint of heart and definitely not for all tastes. It's a pulpy, hedonistic joyride disguised as post-modern feminism, anchored by an utterly fearless performance by reknowned French actress Isabelle Huppert.
You might feel compelled to take a shower after watching this one...it's pretty filthy, but also funny as hell.
