Review of Elle (2016) by Deborah Ross for The Spectator — 09 Mar 2017
This film is beautiful to look at, but if it has anything to say about sex, violence, desire, it all passed me by. Rape should be shown on screen, if only to challenge it, but if this does any of that challenging, that too passed me by.
