This movie most resembles a live-action version of a lost "Shrek" movie. It is an awkward and bland mash-up of fairy tales and the modern world buoyed by Anne Hathaway's obvious charm. I still scratch my head at the pro-disobedience message.
Is learning not to obey a truly important message to present to its target age bracket?
