Cameron Crowe (Almost Famous, Say Anything) is known for incorporating music into coming-of-age stories. Another excellent film by him, Elizabethtown features a 20-something-year-old coming to grips with his father's death.
Never getting to know his father well in life, he goes on trip home in order to discover some things about his family and himself.
