Review of Elizabethtown (2005) by Mariah J — 03 Feb 2010
It was good enough, but the directing and writing (sorry Cameron Crowe) seemed a little sloppy and like it was going in 5 different directions. It could've been at least 2 different movies. Also, Claire should've had some sort of weakness or vulnerability.
(And was Kirsten trying to do a Southern accent? Cuz she kept sliding in and out of it.) There were a lot of things wrong with it the more I think about it, BUT it was decent. It was the perfect movie for me to watch right now so I enjoyed it.
One of my favorite parts was when Drew and Claire were on the phone all night...so realistic. Probably would only recommend if you love one of the actors or there's nothing else on.
