Review of Elizabethtown (2005) by Lea B — 03 Dec 2011
One of the most underrated and under-appreciated movies ever.
The creative and special story of Drew and all the other characters involved is honest and something else.
It contains interesting and distinct characters (Susan Sarandon gives a wonderful performance as Drew's grieving mother who deals with her pain in various curious ways), an amazing humor and much heart. Last but not least it has one of the best soundtracks, most of all at the final part, when Drew does a very special road trip. The movie makes you want to jump right in your car and also do such a trip :) Furthermore it stresses the appreciation and importance of life in a very beautiful and honest manner.
Watch it, it needs to be appreciated! :).
