Review of Elizabeth: The Golden Age (2007) by Becky B — 30 Dec 2009
The costumes and sets of this movie were visually stunning; you felt like you were looking at real-life oil paintings the whole time. The movie tells the story of a proud woman who yearns for companionship but is unable to let down her guard enough for true relationships, either with women or men.
Alone in a time of crisis, the movie shows Queen Elizabeth overcoming her fears to take on her rightful duty to defend her nation. The movie was a bit slow, but intriguing.
