Review of Elizabeth: The Golden Age (2007) by Imus I — 04 Aug 2010
I did an Elizabeth marathon (short). I must say that I was quite disappointed by this one. It has none of the dark, violent and dangerous atmosphere of the first one and even if that was a conscious decision made by the producers, it made the film so light to the extent that the it became quite forgettable.
Maybe it was a good film and maybe I am too critical because of the film's contrast with the first one, but even so, this film is average at best, never reaching the greatness of the first one.
