Review of Elizabeth: The Golden Age (2007) by Olivier C — 28 Dec 2010
Cate Blanchett and Samantha Morton carry the film on their shoulders only, despite the efforts of Kapur's horrendous direction and Owen's pompous performance. I am almost certain that the two actresses could have made a much more powerful film without the interference of Shekhar Kapur and his misguided historical imagination.
