Review of Elizabeth: The Golden Age (2007) by Tom B — 31 May 2011
Very disappointing, I loved Elizabeth. Perhaps we know this part of the story too well. Golden Age lacked excitement and the pace was very slow. Cinematography was the bright spot, particularly the brilliant use of architecture of the time to create startling images.
Love Elizabeth treding over the map of Europe. The Mary Queen of Scot sequences seemed like a separate film.
